Bicycle chains can be cleaned using diesel fuel. Prepare an appropriate amount of diesel and a rag, then prop up the bicycle first, that is, put the bicycle on the maintenance stand, change the chainring to a medium or small chainring, and change the flywheel to the middle gear. Adjust the bike so that the lower part of the chain is as parallel to the ground as possible. Then use a brush or rag to wipe off some of the mud, dirt, and dirt from the chain first. Then soak the rag with diesel, wrap part of the chain and stir the chain to let the diesel soak the entire chain.
After letting it sit for about ten minutes, wrap the chain with a rag again, using a little pressure at this time, and then stir the chain to clean the dust on the chain. Because diesel has a very good cleaning function.
Then hold the handle tightly and slowly turn the crank counterclockwise. After several turns, the chain will be cleaned. If necessary, add new cleaning fluid and continue cleaning until the chain is clean. Hold the handle with your left hand and turn the crank with your right hand. Both hands must exert force to achieve a balance so that the chain can rotate smoothly.
It may be difficult to grasp the strength when you first start using it, and you may not be able to pull it, or the chain will be pulled away from the chainring, but it will get better once you get used to it. When cleaning, you can turn it a few times to try to clean the gaps. Then use a rag to wipe off all the cleaning fluid on the chain and dry it as much as possible. After wiping, place it in the sun to dry or air-dry. The chain can only be oiled after it is completely dry.
