A roller chain is a chain used to transmit mechanical power, which plays a very important role in industrial and agricultural machinery. Without it, many important machinery would lack power. So how are rolling chains made?
First, the manufacture of roller chains begins with this large coil of steel rods. First, the steel bar passes through the punching machine, and then the required chain plate shape is cut out on the steel bar with a pressure of 500 tons. He will connect all parts of the roller chain in series. Then the chains go through the conveyor belt to the next step, and the robotic arm moves, and they send the machine to the next punch press, which punches two holes in each chain. Then workers evenly spread the punched electric plates on the shallow plate, and the conveyor belt sends them into the furnace. After quenching, the strength of the smelting plates will be increased. Then the electric board will be cooled slowly through the oil tank, and then the cooled electric board will be sent to the washing machine for cleaning to remove the residual oil.
Second, on the other side of the factory, the machine unrolls the steel rod to make the bushing, which is the milled sleeve. The steel strips are first cut to the correct length with a blade, and then the mechanical arm winds the steel sheets on the new shaft. The finished bushes will fall into the barrel below, and then they will be heat-treated. Workers turn on the stove. An axle truck sends the bushings into a furnace, where the hardened bushes come out stronger. The next step is to make the plug that combines them. The machine feeds the rod into the furniture, and a saw on top cuts it to size, depending on the chain used.
Third, the robotic arm moves the cut pins to the machine window, and the rotating heads on both sides will grind off the ends of the pins, and then let the pins pass through the sand door to grind them into a specific caliber and send them to be cleaned. Lubricants and specially formulated solvents will wash off the residue after the sand film, here is the comparison of the plug before and after the sand film. Next start assembling all the parts. First combine the chain plate and the bushing together, and press them together with a press. After the worker removes them, he puts two more chain plates on the device, puts rollers on them, and inserts the bushing and chain plate assembly. Press the machine again to press all the parts together, then the link of the roller chain is made.
Fourth, then to connect all the chain links, the worker clamps the chain link with a retainer, then inserts the pin, and the machine presses the pin into the bottom of the chain ring group, then puts the pin into another link, and puts the pin into the other chain link. It presses into place. Repeat this process until the roller chain becomes the desired length. In order for the chain to handle more horsepower, the chain needs to be widened by simply stacking the individual roller chains together and using longer pins to tie all the chains together. The processing procedure is the same as that of the previous single-row chain, and this processing process is repeated all the time. An hour later, a multi-row roller chain capable of withstanding 400 horsepower was fabricated. Finally dip the finished roller chain into a bucket of hot oil to lubricate the joints of the chain. The lubricated roller chain can be packaged and sent to machinery repair shops all over the country.
